America is under siege from all directions. Allah’s gangsters wish to kill, convert, or beat us into submission, semi-literate Hispanic hordes swarm across our southern border in violation of our immigration laws, the leftist “mainstream media” undermines America’s best interests daily, while our universities actively tout the depraved teachings of Marx and Engels. Finally, Congress overcomplicates our tax code to award the highest bidders and buy the votes of the rest.
They all present a clear and present danger to the United States of America and our unique experiment in human freedom.
Contrary to popular opinion the Islamo-fascist war on America did not begin on September 11, 2001. President Thomas Jefferson was the first to deal with Muslims hell-bent on destruction and slave trading when he waged war on the Barbary Pirates. This Founding father understood that ignoring aggression only emboldens the perpetrator and invites more destruction.
Whether we like it or not, this is a war of civilizations: Western Civilization and the Judeo-Christian heritage versus a way of life lifted straight out of the desert of 7th century Arabia. Retreating from the battlefields of Iraq is not a viable option, it’s pure suicide born of cowardice, nihilism, and multiculturalism. It comes down to a battle of wills. Cutting and running from the fight would have catastrophic consequences for our future.
Our roaring economy and perpetual hunger for cheap labor has lead to our second biggest problem. We are ignoring the Mexican invasion. As Americans we’ve been given the greatest inheritance: A Constitutional Republic based on the rule of law with individual human freedom as the highest value. We stand on the backs of giants, from Mosaic Law to Athenian Democracy, to Rousseau and Locke; our forefathers saw to it that America was the crown jewel of Western civilization.
When we allow unassimilated Hispanic hordes to invade in staggering numbers without even learning the language we invite our own destruction! Is it asking too much to demand that we control immigration? Do we really want to become Northern Mexico? After all, this Mexican culture thing has worked so well for them, why wouldn’t we copy their wonderful way of life? How do you say, omni-present corruption in Espanol?
The sooner we build a double wall from San Diego to Brownsville the better. Our American culture is a vital component of our amazing prosperity and overall way of life and it needs to be protected from unassimilated hordes.
The so-called mainstream media and a majority of academia are at war with America. They have an alternative vision for America based on a leftist/utopian worldview that not only doesn’t work, it has been shown to impoverish and terrorize entire nations. The New York Times and the Ward Churchills of the world seem to be the rule rather than the exception these days. This has been chronicled in depth on such venues as talk radio and websites like Fire Society and Front Page Magazine.
We also have another “sword of Damocles” hanging over America’s future. Our tax code stinks to high heaven and it must be eliminated before it’s too late. We absolutely must convert to some form of consumption tax and the FairTax seems to be the best option.
The FairTax is a 23% inclusive sales tax on all new goods and services. Used items are excluded from this tax. When the FairTax Bill (HR 25) is passed it will repeal the individual income tax, the alternative minimum tax (AMT), corporate and business income taxes, capital gains taxes, Social Security taxes, Medicare taxes and all other federal payroll taxes, self-employment tax, estate “death” taxes, and gift taxes. All of these taxes will be eliminated before the FairTax is implemented.
Approximately 23% of the price of all goods and services is due to taxation in the production process. This cost is known as “embedded taxes.” The FairTax would remove these embedded taxes and replace them with a 23% consumption tax. It will not cause prices to rise because it is not an additional tax
It is not a value added (VAT) tax, nor was it started by a bunch of couch-jumping Scientologists, nor would it be inflationary in the least, prices would remain the same. Two groups of people will be hurt by this new system of taxation: Politicians who wield power and buy votes by tweaking the income tax system, and K-street lobbyists who make enormous incomes gaming the current tax code for the benefit of their clients. There has been a tidal wave of misinformation about the FairTax recently. When you hear strenuous objections to the FairTax, know that it’s probably coming from one of those two groups or people associated with them. As the FairTax people like to say, “let’s make April 15 just another beautiful spring day!”
It’s said, that upon exiting the Constitutional Convention Benjamin Franklin was approached by a group of people inquiring about the form of government that the delegates had created. This was his answer: “A republic, if you can keep it.” Folks we need to stand up and defend our beloved America, she deserves it!
